We are delighted to announce a strategic partnership with the most digital airport in Europe
As the Global Airport App, we are thrilled and proud to be recognised on such a prestigious platform by one of the European giants in all things airport. Officially announced yesterday at the Passenger Terminal Expo & Conference 2017, we are now in a strategic partnership with Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
Among others, the partnership involves a revenue sharing model that will benefit both FLIO users and the Schiphol Airport. Serving as the digital commerce channel for the airport, FLIO will enable Schiphol to directly interact with a large base of international travellers who would otherwise fly past the airport, unattended to at the airport’s digital tables and shops. It is a win-win situation both for our users and the digital needs of Schiphol Airport. Last but not least, Schiphol will also promote FLIO to their passengers, further increasing the active user base at the airport.
Our Founder & CEO Stephan Uhrenbacher: “We are delighted to be able to announce this official tie-up with Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. We will be working with one of the most digital of all airports in Europe to jointly develop a digital channel to reach their passengers. Their decision to officially recognise FLIO and to enter into a formal commercial agreement creates great opportunities for both of us and is a very important demonstration of how FLIO can be a collaborative asset for all airports.”
Business Director Kirk Flitton: “Schiphol were quick to understand the value of working with third parties like FLIO, in order to service their domestic and international passengers more efficiently, subsequently driving non-aeronautical revenue. Customers now demand single digital solutions to cater for their needs, whatever the sector. FLIO is that single solution for the airport experience, eliminating the need to download multiple airport related apps.”
